Xplorer Controller Freezes My Xbox.

I have a Xplorer guitar controller that recently stopped working. It was working fine before on both my computer and my xbox 360.

When I plug in the controller to the console it automatically freeze the xbox. (the light on the controller turns and stays on when plugged in) When it gets plugged into my computer, my computer thinks it's a wireless receiver for a 360 controller.

I have tried taking it apart and messing with it but the only thing that has happened is that the controller turns off or rarely (it only happened once) it actually worked until I unplugged or turned it off (this only happened by touching a screwdriver to
the board). I'm tired of attempting to fc using a les paul controller and I really want my guitar to work again...

As the 360 Xplorer controller is a third party accessory, we suggest you contact the manufacturer to download the required drivers.

I'm attempting to connect my xbox 360 xplorer controller to my pc. When I plug it in it wont even turn on, nor is it recognized in device manager in any shape or form. Ive tried usb 2.0 and 3.0 slots, and installed xbox accessories. If I plug the guitar
into the xbox 360 it works just fine.

Hey there Canadian12Bacon,

Since this is a 3rd party controller and roughly 10 years or so old, it's possible that it's having some hardware issues and not communicating properly with the console, which is causing it to freeze. Since it's a 3rd party controller, we don't have any
troubleshooting steps for this, but we'd suggest trying different USB ports to connect the controller to the console and see if anything changes. You may also want to reach out to
Activision Support who might have some steps to try.

I don't think it is an Offical one. It works on my laptop when being used with Xplorer 360

each time it's freeze, I press the xbox button on my controller and my controller vibrate, I wait 1 minute and then the screen goes black and the xbox completly freeze.

An official cable will not present the drive as a USB storage device.
