    Xox gamertag restrictions and question?


    Ever since Xbox released dead gamertags they seem to have made some extreme changes to what tags you can use and the character count to 12. (Which the last part is fine) but the restrictions are a little much

    Anyways I just want my old name back which was oleWhiskey but Xbox says “ This gamertag isn't allowed. Try a different one. “ No one is using it. So I check another name to see if it would work Whiskey1229. But again Xbox says the same

    The only thing I can think of is the word whiskey in the name?? Seriously?? There are so many games with drugs, propaganda, and as close as you can get to porn and you are going to block a name with a military acronym in it?

    Anyone at Xbox could you please message me because also your customer service is below par anymore and even using a business like attitude about this to someone, I get rushed off the phone with no reason. It never use to be this way.

    So is there anyone I can speak to or is this just something that isn’t important enough. I am more than willing to pay to change my name so if that is a motive to get help.

    I also asked in the insiders subreddit because I feel that it might be answered better

    Could you please do the following:

    1. Go to https://billing.microsoft.com
    2. Sign-in with the Microsoft Account associated with the Xbox Account in question.
    3. Next, click on Billing Info.
    From there, make sure all of the info is filled out and correct.

    Hello,

    As xOx DECOY xOx said, self repair & modding the Xbox console isn't supported or allowed. Buying a new Xbox would fix your issues.
