XONE freezing and extremely slow

Whats up guys,

Since 6-7 days ago, my Xbox was taking too long to connect to matchesor even to start a game (CODBO3), so I tried another games (even digital media) and the problem still there, my forza H2 or gta V were working and then suddenly the roads turned gray, some
textures bugs and freezing screen happened, after 4-5 seconds the game comes back, and all these bugs happened again.

I tried to clear my cache, reset my modem, plug a ethernet cable, remove/add my profile, factory reset, but nothing seems to solve those problems, and now my dashboard is extremely slow.

I'm just getting crazy... Can someone help me? Is my HDD dying? Or my CPU is overheating?

Assuming heaps of other people have this issue outside of the US.

First of the User Interface is terrible. I dont care about keeping a brand across your other window devices. Tiles don't work on Xbox. The Xbox 360 was literally 20x quicker for me, both in load times and me navigating around.

If i go to invite a friend into the party in between matches of COD. I get kicked for lack of inactivity because it takes about 90 seconds to add a friend to the party!!! On the 360 this took, 3, or 4 seconds?

This is an absolute joke. Fix these issues, apart from the games...this console has gone backwards! the 360 has better software. Revert back to the hovering interface so you could still know whats going on in your game and use it for quick tasks.

My xbox one UI is absolutely ridiculous if I open up any app or open a profile or even a simple message it takes. More than 1 minute and sometimes it even crashes. Also when I click on the notifications tab it freezes my xbox and this last up to 3-5 minutes
long I can no longer have patience with this so called "NextGen console" I'm sorry but I'm about to buy a PS4 if Microsoft doesn't do something about this

 

Hard Reset? Holding power button until power supply flashes orange then white. If not I don't know much else. More detail?

 

An addition to the above, make sure your console has a stable power source. Do not use a power extender or adapter that has a built surge protector. Surge protectors can cause issues with the console, as can faulty or overloaded power extenders.

 

Darkness, I've tried to hard reset but didn't work.

Obsessive, yes I'm using an adapter that has a surge protector, maybe this could damage my console? Or just plugin it directly on the jack can solve my problem?

The Xbox One's power supply has it's own surge protector built in. If you use a plug or adapter with its own surge protector you are effectively double surge protecting the console which can cause some very odd behaviour, exactly like what your are describing.


Either use a known working adapter without surge protection (that's also not overloaded), or plug your console directly into the mains, with no no surge protection in-between.

 

So, probably this surge protector I was using could cause some issue on my console, maybe I should take it to repair.

I tried to plug directly into the mains but nothing happened and my problem persisted.

 

Now that you have the console connected directly to the mains you should try the factory reset again. If that does not work, you will need to set up a repair.

I had a similar issue, but mine wasn't down to a surge protector, mine was a faulty four plug extender. My games would load fine and work for a while, then they would crash. Before they crashed I had graphics and game bugs. In Forza 2, the road would
disappear and it looked like the car was flying!

Then the console died. It would load the Xbox One plash screen on boot, go to the black screen and stay there.

The replacement is now plugged directly into the wall, no problems since.
