xobx stereo headset adapter on PC

I have an older xbox one controller with no audio jack. I use it on a windows 10 PC. I purchased the stereo headset adapter however mic audio is not working. The PC sees both a headset and mic and I can hear audio through the headset. Mic audio seems as
if it's muted. I have tried multiple headsets, the controller was updated on my friends Xbox One but still get no audio. Chat rep said there's no mic audio at this time but it's coming soon? Is this true? Anyone else have an adapter and is it working normally?

Question about a pc headset and the stereo headset adapter

I have a friend who has a headset he uses on the pc. It has two wires coming out, a mic wire and the audio wire. I found an adapter that merges the two cables into one. If he was to use the Microsoft stereo headset adapter with his pc headset and the
2-1 adapter plugged in to the MS stereo headset adapter, would he be able to use the headset?

I am using at the moment the Wireless Adapter for Win 10 on PC with same controller as you. I am currently using wireless headset (ps4 gold) and i was thinking about buying a cbox one headset to plug into the stereo adapter on my controller since a cant
use Push to Talk with a controller , it would be great to have at least the chance to leave the mic on and simply unmute the adapter when i want to talk .....

But it seems its not working at the moment on PC ,anyway im still curious about your attenpt , what kind of headset tyou tried ....etc ...

I would really love any kind of input on which headset would work with the stereo adapter and the wireless adapter for PC
