XGP active on my account but I can't use it

You're right !

It looks like my subscription is on my gamertag account and my store account is a second accound tied to my Windows account.

Well, I the the best option is to refund the XGP on my gamertag to take it again directly from the app.

I'll try that tomorrow and update my post. Maybe it will help someone else.

Edit : So yes, if you have a store account link to you game account, you won't be able to use XGP if you bought it using game account...

I refund my XGP on game account to get it on my store account and I am able to play now

Replying to help define why this may be occurring. I too just had this happen to me and had to request a refund for my subscription (since I can't use it and have no idea when this might be patched). In this instance my Microsoft account for which I paid
for Game Pass for PC is different than my main Microsoft account (which my PC is configured to purchase other things from). It recognizes in account settings that I have a valid subscription, but when I click the button to take me
to the Game Pass section of the app it prompts me to subscribe again.

My theory: since my main Microsoft account is set as my primary purchasing account on Windows 10, the Xbox app assumes the subscription would be tied to that account since it's the only way to pay for it through the app itself. So instead of checking the
account currently signed in to the Xbox app to verify that you have a valid subscription, it checks the primary purchasing account, which as I established is separate from my Xbox account and therefore tries to prompt me to subscribe again.

Looked for a method to report this bug to the team making this app but couldn't find one, if someone knows how to report this please let me know.

Sorry to see you having issues using the new Game Pass.

If your account is showing Game Pass but will not allow you to play anything on the PC the first thing I would ask you to do is Uninstall the Xbox app from your PC.

Once this has uninstalled, please restart your PC and reinstall the Xbox App and give this a go.
