Xfinity hotspot from Android to xbox

My Android running 5.0 can connect to an Xfinity hotspot, but I do not have cellular data. Can I use this hotspot connection from my phone to my Xbox? How can I achieve this if so?

Xbox ONE browser cursor disappears

The cursor for the Xbox Edge browser disappears when clicking on a drop-down menu list. I have tried every button combination on the controller to bring it back up, but nothing works. I am trying to purchase an internet pass from the nearby xFinity hotspot,
as I just moved and do not have any internet service at my residence.

This is not being done directly from the Edge App, when accessing the network settings > setup wireless connection > choose xFinity hotspot.

If the hotspot has a web-based authorization process you need to pass through (or a login page) upon connection to the hotspot, the Xbox cannot support that.

However, there is a workaround. You can try connecting to the hotspot with your phone, log into the webpage with your credentials, and then change the Wireless MAC address of your Xbox to the Wifi MAC of your android phone. Disconnect your Android phone
from Wifi as soon as you get them connected so you don't get conflicts.

In the Xbox network settings, go to "Advanced Settings" and select "Alternate MAC Address" to change your Xbox's MAC.

Hello, Xfinity Wifi hotspots are also part of your contract, if you dont pay your account you will not be able either to use the Xfinity hotspots. Probably in your phone you are using the data conection instead Wifi.

Not sure how this is related to xbox gaming (I am assuming you are using your phone as a mobile hotspot). Any phone purchased in the last 2 or 3 years automatically uses IPv4 and IPv6 (my understanding from years of gaming on PC, iPad and Xbox using mobile hotspot).

I don't think there is a specific setting (I don't see such a setting on either my Android Phone or my iPhone) and I have used both the android and iPhone for hotspot and xbox gaming.
