    Hi,

    As a result of the recent MS upgrade on outlook.com I've had to create a new outlook.com profile to continue using Office Outlook to manage by email/calendar/contacts. I now want to xfer all the information on the old account (including ownership of any
    games / films purchased) from the old account to the new?

    The only advice I've been able to find on the web is to run both accounts concurrently, but there must be a more elegant solution than this. Can anybody help?

    Moving Xbox Live Gamertag and Profile Between Aliases on Xbox 360

    Hello, I wonder whether it's possible to move XBOX Live gamertag and profile from an alias to another one linked to the same Microsoft account.

    I'm using a Hotmail.com alias, which is my primary one, to sign-in to Microsoft services. I also have an Outlook.com as another alias associated to the same Microsoft account. I'd like to make the latter as my primary alias and move the XBOX Live gamertag
    and profile to it.

    Do you think it's possible? Am I going to lose anything in the move?

    And if possible, should I move them before changing the Outlook.com alias to primary or after the change?

    I had this free account tied to my @outlook.com account. But recently bought an xbox and got a gold xbox live membership. but it would not take my @outlook.com account when I signed up so I used a different email. Now I would like to delete the one that
    is tied to my current @outlook.com account and tie my xbox live account to my @outlook.com account. Any suggestions Thanks

    Hi, and thanks for reaching out. My name is Miguel O., Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue!

    There is no way to move an alias from one Outlook.com account to another. Simply not possible.

    If you remove an alias that's an email address from a Microsoft domain (like @hotmail.com, @live.com, @outlook.com, or @msn.com), you're permanently deleting the alias and it can't be associated with any Microsoft account again.

    It worked fine for me here and on Xbox Live. Xbox Live for Windows is another story, can't login anymore with old or new account!

    On Xbox and Here, it automagically knew my new Outlook.com email

    EDIT : Works on games for windows live. I just had to sign as as a "different" account with the Outlook.com address. It still downloaded the right account...

    Off to play Batman!

    When you upgrade your account from a hotmail.com account to an outlook.com account the login for hotmail no longer works for authentication. You'd need to log in using the outlook.com credentials at that point.

    I made a different email to xfer the GT that is using my current email to, so i could xfer my GT to my current email but it just says they "cannot do it at this time" And i've tried on different days for the past 2 weeks, but i DO however get emails from
