XCOM 2 Next week! Anyone picking it up?

Well unless it's been delayed but on Xbox Store it still says next week.

I loved the XCOM games up to yet and preordered this as soon as it was available to do so.

Anyone else grabbing it?

well im enjoying it, yeah its a hard in places but that's a challenge you can over come or come on here and *** and moan about it. ok that was abit strong but if its that bad as some are saying then move on to another game.

The voices are funny as hell in places, the lack of mini map is not bothering me really, i see it as im playing the role of a pirate, now would i have a mini map hovering over my head or would i need to look at a map to get to where i want to be?

A block or roll would have been nice but there isnt one so thats it really.

Im earning decent money now and getting loads of loot to sell and soon moving on to new area, having loads of fun still dying now and then but im a friggin pirate.

my advice is, stick with it.

Soon ill have my own ship and crew also a monkey to do tasks for me as well as a parrot.

Lack of a mini-map is now beggining to anger me beyond all reason, as is the inability to block the attacks of animals! No block, no dodge. So, all fights with spiders and such just involve you standing there hitting X. Yay.

Considering this was supposed to have been in developement on console alongside the console version rather than a port, this is bloody terrible.

 

Just picked this up on sale, worth every penny.

You mean the first game mate? Unless I've missed something I didn't think XCOM 2 was out until next week

The first was a fantastic game though. Spent shed loads of hours playing it. Great story, great gameplay and something a little different to a lot of console games.

 

I've been interested in this but their marketing has put me off.

Different overpriced new versions on the store.

Might grab it on sale one day.

 

Will pick it up but have other games to play at the moment so I wont be getting it on release.

 

Yep, ordered it up cheap ages ago, love a bit of strategy type games, will do nicely in between Forza and Overwatch sessions

 

@lofty I don't own a Xbox anymore so playing elsewhere, just popped into see what new madness is spreading lol, its a cracking game tho you won't be disappointed

I pre-ordered a few months ago.

I can't wait to get back into XCOM. Specifically Classic Ironman mode. Oh so brutal and unforgiving. I love it!

 

I've not read any reviews but looking at the scores it received on PC, looks like it almost got perfect score across the board

I think this is my most wanted game for 2016
