    xCloud preview - USB controller not connecting


    So...I am not sure what is happening here.

    I am attempting to connect my Xbox One Elite controller to my Android Moto G4 with a USB OTG adapter to play games in the preview app.

    When I plug the controller in I feel it buzz quickly but the home button never turns on and the app doesn't recognize the controller. Pressing the home button, it only blinks a few times before shutting off.

    I have also tried other xbox controllers with the same result.

    The app says I can use USB connection but it's not working.

    This controller does not support xCloud. These are the controllers you can use.

    Xbox Wireless Controller (Bluetooth or USB connection)

    Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 (Bluetooth or USB connection)

    Xbox Adaptive Controller (Bluetooth or USB connection)

    Moga XP5-X

    Okay so I got it. You have to connect the MOGA XP5-X to the pc via USB, then hold the Select+Start butons for three seconds, the light will blink a few times and then BOOM- you're in Xinput mode. I can now use the controller to play Xcloud.

    I cannot believe it, but just this morning the Accessories App received an update. I could connect my controller via USB and update its firmware!

    First look: Everything (except xCloud) seems to work now.

    So install your new firmware! Bit of luck :)

    You don't need bluetooth, If you cannot connect the controller wirelessly, then connect it with a cable instead. I connect my controller to my PC with a cable, and it works fine with Xcloud.
