    XCloud beta constant connection issues.


    I’ve been trying out the iPhone beta, and it is fun in concept and the UI is very good looking. However no matter what kind of connection I’m on it always has the connection bad symbol on the top left. I’ve tried AT&T 5G, many different peoples wifi, some public wifi. It’s always there even if the connection is much faster than the recommended.

    XCLOUD isn't really a "console" afaik. It's a platform, it doesn't require GPU, CPU, etc. It requires a constant internet connection. I think consoles are on their way out.

    This is one of the major issues with xCloud that I hope are fixed before it is out of beta. This likely has nothing to do with your controller, but is instead just something you have to deal with when playing over a wireless connection.

    I have the same input lag you’re experiencing on my iPad Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, but do not have this issue when I play on my M1 MacBook Air that is connected to the internet through a wired connection.

    Since xCloud is being heavily advertised for use on mobile devices, let’s hope Microsoft is able to fix this quickly. We’re still in a beta period here.

    What is the latency/ping that you are receiving when you use xCloud?

    Seeing as it is still in Beta there might be some issues still with the performance of the service.

    Constant connection issues

    We understand you are having issues with lagging and voice chat issues on Xbox party chat. Let's work on this together and sort this out in timely manner for you to get back to gaming. It sounds like you have tried some troubleshooting steps already, such as hard resetting your Xbox and changing WiFi networks, but the problem persists.

    There are a few possible causes for this kind of interference, such as other wireless devices in your vicinity, physical obstacles or distance between your console and your router, or network congestion.

    To narrow down the source of the issue, I suggest you try the following steps:

    1. Check Controller Firmware and Connectivity:

      Ensure that your Elite Series 2 controller has the latest firmware. You can update it through the Xbox Accessories app on your console.
      • Verify that the controller is properly connected to your Xbox. Try using a different USB cable or port to rule out any issues.

    2. Check Network and Latency:

    • Run a network speed test on your Xbox to ensure your internet connection is stable.
    • If possible, use a wired Ethernet connection instead of Wi-Fi for better stability.
    • Check for any network congestion or interference (other devices using bandwidth, etc.).

    3. Test Voice Chat Separately:

    • To isolate the issue, try using party chat without playing a game. See if the voice quality improves.
    • If it does, the problem might be related to the game’s servers or network latency.

    4. Check NAT Type:

    • Make sure your NAT type is set to Open. A strict or moderate NAT type can cause connectivity issues.
    • Go to Settings > Network > Network settings > Test NAT type to check and adjust if needed.
