    Xbox's turning off


    Hi guys. me and my friends have been doing some testing with this bug to try and figure out what the problem is if you are experiencing this on the xbox's one. If you have an app such as YouTube or Twitch or Netflix and turn a game on, without turning
    such an app off, your console will turn off. It happens every time on me and my friends, but doesn't seem to happen if you do it the other way round. I assume it's something to do with a memory allocation error or a power brick issue but I'm unsure. if your
    having similar problems just make sure you turn off any other app before loading a game. Oh by the way spotify's doesn't effect it for what I've seen.

    Xbox one plug and play charger.

    Will this charge the controller when the Xbox is turned off?

    When I plug it in after the Xbox is turned off, it turns on again, any way to prevent this if it can charge when the Xbox is off, apart from plugging it in 1st then turning the Xbox off.

    Hey Spud thanks for taking the time to bring this issue to us!

    We suggest checking out our Troubleshoot Xbox One unexpectedly turning off page on our website to possibly getting this issue ironed out,
    also try plugging the console in to a wall outlet to make sure it is receiving the correct power supply for it to be working properly. Give it a shot and let us know how it goes!

    Hi TEEZYdennis,

    Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Xbox. Is it safe to assume it is an Xbox One?

    I suggest a reset of the console via the troubleshooting screen to get you back to a factory reset.

    To access the troubleshooting screen use these steps:

    1. Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection.
    2. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
    3. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.
    4. Press and hold the BIND button (located on the left side of the console) and the EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press theXbox button on the console.
    5. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
    6. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

    From there you can reset your console.

    There are a few troubleshooting steps that you can try that might help fix the issue:

    Failing that, if it is still in warranty then it might be worth sending it in for repair, which you can also do through that link I just posted :)

    Thanks for keeping us updated. Were you able to try out any of the troubleshooting steps provided by Erick? When did this start happening?

    If this barely started to occur, then try out those steps to resolve the issue. I think you should try everything before thinking about getting a new console.
