Xbox's community guidelines are a joke. I've invested a few days into a game that came out this year with an M rating for 17+ age rating. People have already started using mods, and when reporting it does nothing. I was in a match against an entire clan,
(Can't remember 6-8 man clan and that is the maximum amount of players per team) They are abusing game mechanics, so I told them so, then blocked them so I don't have to deal with it. They can't say anything in return since they are blocked, so they all mass
report me, and I get a suspension. I may only be 21, but Xbox shouldn't be controlling language in a game that is supposed to be 17+ anyways. Mircosoft's code of conduct is a joke.

    :)

Xbox's community guidelines are a joke, I've had and Gold account since 2008, and it makes we want to cancel it and go to Steam.

The only advice I can really offer up is to check out the
    enforcement website
and see if the case is eligible for a case review to hopefully be overturned. If you hadn't yet, I'd recommend going through and making sure you had reported each individual involved both on Xbox Live and one the game, if the game had
    an in-game reporting system.

That's harsh. But know, people on Steam get the short end of the stick from Valve just as often as people do on Xbox or on PlayStation. Sometimes it's better to just deal with it and figure it out if push comes to shove. Its happened to me before, I know
    how it feels, trust me.

regardless of game, you agreed to the terms of communication when you signed up for Xbox live.

and steam is really no different.

again, reporting is not a NUMBERS thing, you said something pretty controversial and you got caught, that is all that happened.

According to the Enforcement site, "A common misconception is that a certain number of reports will result in an automatic suspension. According to the myth, even if you haven’t done anything wrong someone can get you suspended by encouraging players
    to file many complaints."

    https://enforcement.xbox.com/en-CA/home/howto#sub-topic0-5

Plus, they should have notified you of the reason for your suspension.

"When XBLPET issues an enforcement action, an email message is automatically sent to the address associated with your Xbox Live account. This address is referred to as your Microsoft Account (MSA). If you are using a child account, an
email is also sent to the Microsoft Account associated with your parent or guardian. Each email message explains that the account was subject to enforcement action and links to pages that provide additional information."

    https://enforcement.xbox.com/en-CA/home/howto#sub-topic0-4

You can try submitting a Case Review; however, the situation has to meet the requirements.

"Any Xbox Live member with an active enforcement action may submit a case for review through the account's

    Enforcement History
, provided the enforcement meets the following requirements:

    • The enforcement's duration is greater than 24 hours in length
    • The enforcement was issued in the last 12 months"

I think you should contact Microsoft first and find out what you really were banned for.

Tenure : How to double-check years on Gold?

I have the same problem. I've had this account since 7/28/2008. It was gold then. I switched on and off of gold for a while, but there is only a two. However, I had a 1 month gold account that has only been gold for one month and when I added gold last month,
there is a one. So my guess is, the system is broken. I posted a few days ago about this issue, and to my knowledge, it was never resolved.
