XboxOne X 4k hdr problem

I have an epson home cinema 5050UB 4k hdr projector and a sony STR-DN1080 av reciever. I have all of my devices plugged into the reciever and the reciever plugged into the projector. I’m able to watch 4k and hdr content with my fire cube and I’m able to
play 4k or hdr games on my ps4 pro. But when I try to on my xbox one x, it says that my tv doesn’t support 4k or hdr and is displayed in sdr. I tried plugging my xbox into the hdmi port that my ps4 is using on the reciever and it still doesn’t work. Out of
ideas and very confused...I can’t find any forum or any trouble shooting with this specific problem. Thanks

Have you went through the display settings on your xbox? there's a very handy calibration guide that will tell you all of the settings to look for on your projector to try and make sure it uses all of the features available!

Ok I got it figured out. It was the hdmi cable ( which came with the xbox). ?

I did. The only thing is that under the list of epson projectors that it wants you to choose from under the tv set up, it doesn’t list any 4k projectors. Only hd. And it’s been out for a year. I just don’t understand why 4k and hdr work with all of my
other devices with the same settings. Only the xbox won’t work.
