Xboxone shutting itself down

Xboxone keeps shutting itself off console has enough ventilation and previously worked fine. I've sent off the power pack and the console separately once already and was told there is no problem, I've just been asked to send the console off again! Can
anyone advise???

If the XBOX 360's power supply is displaying a red color for any reason or acting up like this where it randomly turns off it's likely the power supply needs to be changed. Not sure if you've tried this but have you directly plugged the XBOX 360 power supply
into a wall outlet and not a power strip? This can sometimes cause problems like this so please make sure of that before you continue further.

If the problem still persists after you've plugged the power supply directly into a wall outlet then it's likely your power supply needs to be replaced. Please visit this site here to
request an exchange for your power supply. There's no way to just fix this issue yourself, it will require that the power supply be replaced.

Assuming your console is under warranty it's an even exchange, they send you instructions on where to send the power supply, you follow the instructions, they receive the power supply and send you one right back.

Hopefully that will be the end of your problems.

what button is it? the main power button in the console? if that so i don't get what you saying "i just kept pressing the button then turned it on and it stopped" can you explain it to me?

 

Would it be possible for you to take you console and power pack to a friend with an XBOX One's house and test them? That way you could figure out if the cause is the power supply or the console.

It just helps to narrow down the problem No use sending off the console if it is the power supply. You may just have to purchase a new power supply (if the old one is not under warranty) and that would be much better and take less time than sending in

I have the same problem, xbox support doesn't know what it is, they just want me to send it in (not under warranty) and pay. Sometimes it makes it 5 minutes, sometimes it makes it several hours before randomly turning off. Have to unplug the PSU and plug
it back in to get it to reset. Anyone have any advice past sending it in?

 

Try taking a can of compressed air and make sure all the vents are free from dust to ensure the unit is being properly ventilated and as I suggested above take your console/power supply to a friend's house and test it to try and find out if it is the console
or the power supply. If it is the power supply you can purchase a new one and avoid sending the console in.

 

Thanks again, will try it but its happened on my original console and the replacement one they sent to me also. As Dark Ritual described is exactly like mine, sometimes 5 mins and sometimes 2 hours but always the same ending. Mine is under warranty so
they can ask to me send it as many times as they like but after sending the power pack and the console and both times them saying that they found nothing wrong I'm beginning to doubt that they know the fix. Does anyone know at what point they give you a new
replacement console?
