XboxOne Minecraft World disappeared (finally restored)

About 12 hours ago I left Spotify running while loading up Minecraft. I've had numerous issues with the XboxOne overheating (only while running Minecraft) so it was a silly thing to do, but I ended up with the Xbox shutting down whilst my main world was
loading.

After rebooting I found that my main world was missing from the list and a resync did nothing to resolve it. I trawled the forums for hours looking for a solution but all I found was closed down posts where the OP still hadn't recovered their world.

I tried the following (in this order) :

Deleting saved game cache for Minecraft, then full reboot - still missing

Uninstalling Minecraft, full reboot, then reinstall - still missing

Deleting entire XboxOne saved game cache, then full reboot - still missing

Starting a new world with the same name, supposedly to reboot the world minus anything that was being carried at the time - still missing

Eventually I found a post about an hour ago on issues with other game saves and it mentioned completely removing the Gamer Profile from the Xbox, then signing back in and redownloading the Gamer Profile. This step actually worked! My world is fully restored
as it was the last time I played it.

I don't know if this will work for any other missing world issues, or if there is a time limit on how long the world is "restorable", but I have recovered a world that I've put at least 36 hours into and I'm incredibly relieved!

If your Minecraft world disappeared, first check for backups or previous versions, then please restore the world manually by navigating to the saves folder and copying the world folder.

If you have backups enabled (either manually or through a cloud service), look for the most recent backup and restore it.

And then system restore (Windows). To do this, right-click on the saves folder or the specific world folder.

Select "Restore previous versions" to recover an earlier version of the folder.

Next is to check the Saves Folder by navigating to the saves folder on your device. For Windows, go to %appdata%\.minecraft\saves.

See if your world folder is still there. If it is, there might have been a corruption issue.

If your Minecraft save disappeared and you have a working backup, you can restore the Minecraft world from your backup. Your specific backup may be different based on your Android device and version, but the process for iOS is fairly standard and boils down to restoring your device through iCloud. These instructions involve restoring a backup from Samsung Cloud.

Go to Settings, then Accounts and backup.

Choose Restore data.

Select your device

Ensure you’re restoring the Minecraft app (inside Apps), then tap Restore.

Got it. If your Minecraft world has disappeared on your Xbox Series S, try the following solutions:

1. Sync Old Worlds:

Launch Minecraft on your Xbox, navigate to the "Play" menu, and find and select the "Sync Old Worlds" option.

2. Restore Saved Data:

From the Xbox menu, go to "Manage Game" and then "Saved Data".

Select the Minecraft game and delete the saved data for this console only.

Uninstall and reinstall the game.

3. Check Backups:

If you have previously backed up your world, try restoring them.

4. Check Saves Folder:

Check if your world folder still exists in the "saves" folder in your Windows user directory.

If you find the folder, try loading the world directly from your computer.
