Discus and support XBOXONE External drive in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I installed a 4t hard drive and all works fine, I moved all files to the external drive and have used 1.3% of external drive.     I installed a 4t hard drive and all works fine, I moved all files to the external drive and have used 1.3% of external drive. Internal shows 0% used but when I try to down load mods it tells me that I don't have enough space

    as per the other comments about the use of the external hard drive for the 360 I am in the update preview program which allows additional External hard drives to be used.I purchased the same Seagate 2tb external hard drive as per my xboxone but when I apply
    the format on the xbox360 as per the instructions it replies with unable to format. Would like to know what external hard drives are compatible? I no the hard drive works as tried it on the xboxone after it would not format for the 360

    What I would like to see is a "replacement" for my Media Center PC. I don't really want one in my family room anymore. I love Media Center but we really only use it for watching and recording live TV. We watch Netflix through our XBoxOne. XBoxOne provides
    a nice replacement for photo viewing especially for OneDrive photos. XBoxOne also provides a good music listening replacement.

    What I was hoping for in XBoxOne was the ability to connect to an external DCT (USB or Network) and then XBoxOne would provide the live TV and TV DVR experience (recording to the XBoxOne hard drive or an external USB drive). Given this added capability,
    I think XBoxOne would be a decent replacement for Media Center. Well, except for the lack of extender functionality.

    You will have the update tonight for the new features including external hard drives,

    One tip, once the external hard drive is formatted for the XboxOne you will not be able to use the hard drive on a pc.

    InTranceWeTrust, you will be able to turn off notifications.

    I'm sure you will like the update very much.
