Xboxone Digital TV Tuner releasing in Australia in March!!

TV channels in NZ are a bit boring compared to Australia. We do get Freeview too but we're with Sky TV (basic package). Get the Disney Channel etc, but the decoder is hooked up to the TV in the lounge. I use my own TV in my bedroom for privacy. If I want
to watch TV in the lounge I usually have to fight for it (don't worry, it's not physical, it's like "I want to watch" "no I'm watching this now"). It would be really appreciated if Microsoft and TVNZ or Sky TV or freeview collaborated with each other. US,
UK, and Australia have TV apps. I can even get the TVNZ app on my Samsung S5 AND voice commands with Google and S Voice. Samsung didn't say we're struggling with NZ accents/dialect nonsense. I'm not mad, I just find that NZ'rs would really appreciate not being
left out and having some apps. Xbox is pretty big worldwide. But yay for good'day mates and yay for me because despite this I still enjoy Xbox.

 

Feel for you Bird. I must admit some of the content we get is pretty good these days. If you avoid all the reality TV Crud. I still buy most of my TV series on DVD or on Apple tv as TV networks are still slow to release top shows.

 

Lol, Rippen, Any show made here is terrible and the news is generally fantasy, ABC no longer has the money. We have ok shows, just the ones that aren't made here.

Hey Smileskybird, Move over here for work when you're old enough, Aus/NZ relations are pretty good. Any New Zealander I've met overseas always considers aus/nz as "Our part of the world" , mainly because it is Really though, I've joined up with heaps
of NZ's around Asia/Middle east and this is our part of the world. Only difference is that we say "Bin" and you say "Bn"

 

There are still some locally made shows Red, problem is they never get a chance and are axed for the mediocre. Yes I don't watch news or read our newspapers. I've actually had my own run in with them with my job in the past.

 

Rippen, I forgot about. RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE! Ahem, abc's rage, the best music show ever made, it's almost a religion to me, except for the Retro Count Down eps.

Genchy, you're brave and honest? I've watched Neighbours in 4 different languages, On Polsat (Polish tv) You could still here the Aussie voices in the back ground.

 

Rage holds some great late night/early morning memories for me from my high school days. Involved watching it with an Orchy bottle and a lighter in hand, if you know what I mean.

 

That is gold right there, those Orchy people knew what they where doing. I also remember using said lighter many times on a thumb that had battle scares from the fine art of " i have no money and need to use aluminium and a pair of scissors".

The thought has crossed my mind. Does anyone watch Home and Away or Neighbours? Those shows kind of depress you or are filled with bad actors that are just thrown a script. Ok I wouldn't say it's bad-bad but it isn't anywhere up to Hollywood status. I don't
know why people would like to watch Doctor Phil or Opera. Sometimes watch NZ idol and master chief NZ/Australia/Juniors. To be honest I pretty much don't watch any TV, maybe some news or random programs. As for NZ, our government has shutdown radio transmission
TV so there's only Freeview digital or Sky digital. Mainly due to poor reception even if you live in a north island city which is me. TVNZ is based in Auckland. Has anyone watched H20 Just Add Water. I like that TV series I use to own it on DVD but when I
got Xbox, I threw it out (kind of wish I didn't). It's kind of like Home and Away/Neighbours. I kind of like Go Girls it's a NZ TV program (yay I didn't say Australian) which films actors who are acting in different parts of NZ.

I'm coming back to Sydney Australia definitely again late December, only for longer... at least a week. And plan on watching the 2016 New Years fireworks. Auckland's fireworks is done at the Sky Tower. Sydney's at the harbour bridge. In fact your harbour
bridge looks very similar to our harbour bridge. I took some videos while in Australia, Taronga Zoo sky tower bondi beach opera house. Next time we're there, we'll go to that fun swimming pool with slides and river ride near the Olympic stadium and visit Sydney
Aquarium. We didn't have enough time to as we only stayed 4 days. The flight was really good view and sunny. It was overcast on Saturday 27 December 2014 but hundreds were at the zoo with us and really enjoyed it I went to the bird show TWICE and seal show
in the morning though they had multiple shows. I guess I'm going a bit off topic but we're talking Australia here. I did try to stay on topic... I guess. The double decker trains are the best. Aucklands trains don't run between 26 December and 5 January.

 

@ Redeye the best rage film clip was Hurdy Gurdy Man by the BUt whole surfers on those nights. Watch it and you will no what i mean.

@Bird Skip the olympic park pool and just hit up wet and wild its only 15 min further down the M4.

Back to the topic of the tuner, im definately going to turn of most of my Xbox notifications when i get it and only leave game or party invites as the only ones that pop while watchimg TV.I have the Bluray set up the same.

 

Red Eye, I started watching Neighbours when it came to the UK 1986! Been watching it ever since, its on my Virgin TV planner to record while im at work and its kind of a relaxing ritual to watch it straight after my tea in my lazyboy! Everbody love good

You can also stream tv to any windows device or device with smart glass locally.

 

Wish they could somehow get an actual media box for watching tv here in the states so we can finally cut loose the horrible rip off that is the cable/fios company!
