Microsoft is releasing a digital tv tuner(UK, France, Italy, Spain and Germany) in October for users in the previously mentioned countries to experiences TV through an over the air digital terrestrial tv tuner. The prices are £24.99 in the UK and €29.99

Really have they found a new company to make them. Its in the UK now but impossible to get.

 

I'd been hearing that on these forums from others in UK. Reason why I pre ordered it yesterday straight from MS rather than wait till it hits the retail store. I'm not missing out on getting one of these.

 

What does this even do and why should I care? Haha, please summaries, I'd appreciate it.

So does that mean you can record TV shows and stuff? Is that the primary function?

 

yeah pause rewind and record live tv its main function is watching tv

 

So basically you turn Xbox on and it can boot straight to free to air TV. You can then just snap X1 apps and get notifications overlaying your TV screen. You can also just snap the TV to the side and keep gaming. Also all your TV becomes voice controlled.

So you can have the Xbox One functionality while watching TV, that's pretty cool, but I just don't watch enough TV. Thanks Rippen!

 

LOL, The product sounds find, Though as an Australian and can honestly say that I might be able to watch 1 minute of Australian TV before feeling sick and eventually passing out.

 

Only happens if you watch " Home and Away " or " neighbours " Redeye.

 

I want to live in Australia! Everything seems better there. Microsoft and TVNZ have made no effort in working collectively to make TV apps for NZ peps for Xbox 360 or Xbox 1. JB Hi Fi is selling Google Chrome cast a small device in NZ. And voice commands
is still locked so I occasionally change my locale settings to Australia and it works fine for me. Microsoft's excuse, we're struggling with "NZ Accents". Yes I know, it's t-o-t-a-l-l-y alien to the rest of the world. Me and my family were in Sydney over new
years. You Australians have some pretty good TV channels we were staying at the Rendezvous Hotel in the CBD.
