XboxOne Console issues

I'll try to be as specific and short as possible with this. But I purchased the Xbox One in October. Microsoft shipped it to me, that day I plugged it in. Everything worked great. Then next day I come home from work and try to play Halo 5, and they have
the dashboard update. After that update I couldn't connect to Xbox Live. So then I go offline just so I can play the game. Then when I go to play I get an error code, not allowing me to play the game. I check the error code, on this site, and on google and
nothing came up.

So I talk to support and they are telling me to remove my account, remove my online connection, uninstall the some stuff. Then the support lady tells me it's time to recover my account. Guess what, I can't recover it. I can't connect online, just error code
after error code. She basically gives me no help afterwards as she has no idea what's going on. I go to bed *** off, and just unplug all the cords for the night.

Come back the next day, and I can connect, recover my account, and can finally play a game. But since that day I haven't been able to connect to Live I've had to play all my games offline (not a big deal, I'm playing Fallout). I then get online today, and
notice that literally nothing is on my dashboard. No apps, no community, everything is just blank. I have no idea what is going on with my console. Is there anyone who has had a similar experience, I've read about people having problems since the update, but
not problems I have been having? Because at this point almost nothing is working, unless I want to play offline.

Buying and setting up used XboxOne, will there be issues??

As I'm poor, I've been looking at second hand consoles, both PS4 and XboxOne.

Now, I've already found out that used PS4 is very easy to re-set for a new owner.

But how about used XboxOne?

How easy is it to set up used XboxOne for a new owner?
-can the console be re-registered for a new owner?
-can all info of the previous owner be easily deleted?
-if previous owner was banned from sites on his XboxOne, will this affect the new owner?

And is there a simple way to do all this re-setting and re-registration, or will it make my hair gray?

I already leafed through xbox homepage and those official tech support forums but could not find anything related to the issue... So I came here.

So, anyone here got experience setting up second hand XboxOne? Or any true knowledge of issues relating to said issues?

 

Issues with party chat (they can hear me but I can't hear them)

I have the exact same issue. Any help with this is greatly appreciated. I am losing confidence in microsoft. I never had issues with 360. Xboxone is problem after problem. I am beginning to regret my decision to purchase this console!

Hey there. Can you make your phone a hot spot to see if you can connect that way? If you can then it's definitely sometime on your network blocking connection. It also sounds like you've done most the troubleshooting. Try doing a factory reset. If you're
not connected to live you may lose some game saves. .

I can't use my phone for a hot spot unfortunately. I don't understand why I would have a network issue though. My 360 had no connection issues with the same network

 

Things change , xbox one does things different maybe ...LOTS of connection issues....if your using a gateway from your isp then that's probably it...
