Xboxlivefamily.com - Cannot Change Primary MSA Alias

Thanks for reaching out here in Xbox Forums. I understand there is an issue with changing the primary alias to an existing Microsoft Account. When changing a primary aliases on an account, you may not use any Microsoft Domains such as: xboxlivefamily.com,
Hotmail.com, live.com, outlook.com, and msn.com.

It is not the Microsoft Family Safety page. My account was made way back in 2012 when Xbox had a program called Xbox Live Family, and it was a way that parents could make accounts for their kids. That program was closed many years ago, so I am unable to access the emails that are sent to my primary microsoft alias since it ends in xboxlivefamily.com. I am able to add other aliases to my account, however I am unable to change my primary alias as it says "Your organization's policies prevent you from changing your primary alias.". I just want to get into contact with someone from Microsoft so that they can fix this for me.

I see that you would like to change the MSA on your account. To do so you can either do what Hassassinade suggested on the console or you can go to account.live.com and change it there. Once you sing in at account.live.com you want to select Add or change
aliases. To change the MSA on your account you want to rename the primary alias.

Are you meaning the Microsoft Family Safety page, here: Microsoft Family Safety, or something else?

If you are meaning the Microsoft Family Safety page, this uses the sign in information attached to the Microsoft account. So, if you add a new alias, you should be able to sign into the account with the new alias.

You can try adding the new alias but keeping your primary one attached. Then try and sign into the site linked above with the new alias and see if it allows you to sign in. If it does, then make the new alias primary and try again to see if it continues allowing you to sign in.
