It depends on what options are available on your modem for bridge mode, you might be able to do a bridge with PPPoA on the modem, that way your user name/password details can be put into the modem and it does the authentication to Sky and it then passes
the ip address Sky supply to your router

So... you'll have to see what options the DGTeam firmware gives you. If it cannot bridge + do the authentication to Sky and Sky only use MER (PPPoA) then.... this set-up is pretty much dead in the water

Xbox One is wonly working with TCP/IP when connected to a router. The One is not able to use any internet connection which needs username password connections like PPPoE.

Yes! Xbox Live works with the PPPoA encapsulation protocol.

If I guess what BobMcFly is referring to, it would be the IEEE 802.1x Network Access Control (NAC), which require a user to supply username and password for the authentication process flow. The Xbox One, nor the 360, are not configured for use in an 802.1x-based
network, without having to work-around this process.

Malacath, OP has cable Internet, not DSL. Logging in, PPPoE/PPPoA, etc. are for DSL. No login is required with cable Internet, which is one of the many reasons I prefer cable Internet over DSL. Authentication is done by the cable system checking the
cable modem's unique identifiers to make sure it is authorized to be on the network.
