    xbox_1 force release renew ip address


    Team,

    this is an xbox_1 day one edition.

    I am on a wifi network that is not managed by me.

    The ip on the xbox_1 is stuck to 10.1.* and it is not releasing.

    I have:

    1. rebooted the xbox
    2. rebooted the router/Access Point
    3. checked that the ip is NOT manually set (not statically set)
    4. reset the xbox to factory defaults
    5. connected on a different AP/router (still the same issue)
    6. connected to a different SSID/network.
    Please advice as i believe this is an issue with this specific XBOX.

    Anyway to /release /renew IP on XB1?

    Is there any way to force an IP /release /renew on the XB1?

    Can't Connect to XBL

    Verizon in MD is having issues, they have been since yesterday, one fix is to release your gateway/modem's IP address and renew it.
