Xbox360 update

Hi

I have been trying to get the update for my Xbox360, but I don't have Xbox Live, It updated about 2 times then when it updated a third time it stopped and said there was a error. Afterwards I stopped the update and I can't change my theme, and my avatar
is a blank model that I can't customise.

Also I tried getting the minecraft update but again it said I had a error, after that I tried just playing it offline and I had a older version of minecraft than what I originally had, I couldn't change any settings on my maps and my stuff reset on it. I
need alota help

Minecraft xbox one edition aquatic update

Minecraft xbox360 edition is suppose to get the aquatic update. Will I still be able to import worlds from the xbox360 edition to the xboxOne edition after xbox360 gets the aquatic update?

Will it not update your console/games with an Xbox Live Silver account?

I hope it will because i am getting a used 360 E Console and may want to make sure it's updated, but I will be using a silver account.

I posted in order to checkmark "Email me replies to this post" as I am curious as to what advice you receive.

 

Well, I don't really understand how to get a Xbox Live Silver account, but I had xbox live gold but cancelled because I couldn't get a wifi signal from my room.

 

Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but my understanding is that in order to even post here you have to have an xbox live silver account.

So if true. Can you not sign into your xbox console with your silver account (Lucy Aguilar 10 - which shows up here as a Silver account) and update your 360 console and games?

Every account that is created is a Silver account. You pay to have it become Gold.

What was the error code it gave you? You can check to see what it means here: support.xbox.com/error-code-lookup

Have you tried booting your console back up while connected to the Internet? This should force the update when loading your profile.

 

I havent tried it and I can't connect to my internet now.

You can still create a local profile on a 360. That type isn't Silver or Gold.

 

Yes it is,it's still a silver account even if it's never connected to live.

No its not. A local profile has no access to Live, it doesn't update achievements or stats to the Live servers.

The big indicator that there is no Live access is that a local profile can have any name it wants.

I could create a local profile called Daft Badger, exactly the same as your own, exactly because it isn't a Live account. Only when wanting to connect the account to Live, as a Silver or Gold account, would I be forced to change it.

 

There's only 2 type's of profile,a silver or a gold.

It's still classed as a silver account wether or not it's connected to live.

 

A Silver or Gold account is connected to Live. A Live connected gamertag has a Microsoft Account. A Live connected gamertag can not be duplicated. That at least we can agree on, Yes?

If this account is Silver then please tell me how it can be using your gamertag

There are three type of profile. Local (offline), Silver, and Gold. Microsoft even have a support page on how to convert a offline profile to a 'gamertag' on Live

Please continue to tell me how I am wrong. You know a lot, more than me I will happily admit. yet in this case you are mistaken.
