XBOX360 Save Games from USB to XB1 Compatibility Mode

Help! I transferred all my save games to USB before going to Best Buy to trade in my XB360 for an XB1. The XB1 says it will only read games on XB1 formatted USB. How am I supposed to get all my old saved games moved over?!

Developer Mode and Backwards Compatibility

Hello guys.

I don`t know if this is the right place to post, but here we go:

1- The Xbox One Developer Mode runs only debug games (unsigned code) and not retail games?

2- Does the Xbox One uses the **** executable format (like 360)?

3- Since Xbox One has backwards compatibility through emulating the Xbox360, does XB1 runs unsigned **** files in Developer Mode?

I am asking these questions, because i have a Custom Game Engine which develops 3D games for Xbox 360 (homebrew), it outputs a file default.****, which is unsigned, and only runs on a Xbox360 Devkit, and
i would like to play my homebrew xbox360 game on xbox one.

Supposing that with developer mode xb1 can run unsigned code, i imagine that it could run also unsigned **** files from Xbox360.

Transfer files to your computer then format USB to Xbox then transfer files back to USB and see if that works.

Now I'm not 100% sure about this but as far as I know you cant do this. If your talking about multiplayer stats and ranks things like that. All of that stuff is saved on the servers and automatically transfers over. Now as far as moving game save data,
I'm not sure how possible that actually is. What game data are you trying to transfer. I know some games like MineCraft allow you to use XB360 game saves on XBONE. Most games however do not have that feature. That being said, I believe the only game data you
can transfer from 360 to one is online data. That is all done automatically.

I am trying to move save games for any xbox 360 games that are supported in the new xbox 360 compatibility mode. (perfect dark zero for example, but really want final fanstasies...) A "Games and Apps" XB1 formatted drive is required to be a large size
.. (like 128GB) .. I only have a 16GB USB stick I used. Do you think that at some point the XB1 will be updated to just recognize all these files like the XB360 used to? I mean it's the only thing that makes sense to me. I've read that the Cloud Save games
should come down for 360 games.

Okay yeah that's true I totally forgot about the new update that will be available for everyone soon. Now in that update of future updates this feature of transferring game data may become available. I'm not sure if you can do it now or how. I'm assuming
when this update is more explored and or released we will know more about game data transfers. So for now hold on to that USB.

@Voss Yeah I think that is going to have to be the way forward. I am going to see if I can get an answer through the preview program console.
