Xbox360 Repair costs

Having spent time with On Line chat to arrange a repair for my 4 year old console, they told me it would be £91.20 as the on line service merry-go-round would not let me actually place a service request, I find out that you only get 90 days Guarantee when
i can buy a new one for £129, no brainer I think.

Not impressed when Online Chat Op started cut and pasting corporate blurb about cost etc etc.

Anyone get their first gen Xbox One repaired. Mine has a disk drive that doesn't always read the disk and the wireless connection recently failed for the controller. Estimates on cost of repair?

This the place I was instructed to post the complaint as no direct email or contact was forth coming, obviously more duff info from the On line Op.

If you are looking for an answer from a service manager, then what is the question? No one can answer you if you don't ask a question.

 

Really if you want to complain to any form of manager you would need to contact support directly. There is no way to contact a service manager through the forums.

My question was, why does it cost nearly £100 to repair my console and only get
90 days Guarantee when I can purchase a new one for approx £130?

So I post a question and nothing, make sure you confuse the crap out of people then don't bother with an answer then!@#$#@÷= what is the point.

 

I'm afraid it's like this: Microsoft got your money. They want more money to mend your machine. It is mostly the case now that to repair something can cost more in labour and overhead cost than it cost to manufacture the machine in a low-economy country
in the first place. FWIW, I have a high-tech paperweight/door stop as well.

 

Nobody in this public forum would be able to tell you why or how an international corporation makes its financial decisions.
