XBOX360 'play to' not working with mp4 files

So I have a Chromecast and this allows my Synology NAS to stream my mp4 files to a TV there fore im reasonably certain my network is configured ok. In theory i should be able to use the same app on my android phone to 'play to' my XBOX 360, the XBOX is
recognised as a DMA by Synology media server an the andriod app identifies the XBOX 360 as a deviceready to be 'play to' and the file opens on the XBOX 360.... then the screen goes black and the ircle just keeps spinning.

If i open the XBOX 360 system video player i can select my Synology nas and open and play the same mp4 file. The reason i want to use 'play to' is because the synology media server holds a load of metadata and makes my media library searchabley

Simple question why wont xbox compatible mp4 files plag using 'play to'?

Using broke, modded xbox 360 as media extenders

Had to connect to live to watch AVI, MP4 and Divx files. (needed updates)

Mismatched DVD drive even worked except for games that would not play. (no problem)

LAN only use no problem and Xbox360 was the only way to watch protected content.

 

Play you mkv files on your xbox video player, it works!

All You Have To Do To Play Mp4 Avi Mpg and mayb Mkv Is To Get A Removable Flashdrive Upload Files To It and plug it in Xbox360 I Watch 3Movies All Ready Using It No need Media Center try it...
