Xbox360 - One cross-platform multiplayer

Hi,

I would like to know which games for 360 can be played in live/multiplayer online with players that owns a One console instead. I've tried with Call Of Duty: Ghosts but it doesn't work, even if it is listed in the backward compatibility list.

Cross Console Chat

^^^wrong....PS4 and PS3 players can only text chat cross platform (just like xbox one to xbox360 can) there is no cross platform voice chat natively for either next gen console....

 

Backward compatibility : How does it work?

Just like xbox one. Install disc. Multiplayer cross-platform. I don't know about chat

 

Sadly there is no cross platform support between the Xbox 360 and the Xbox one console. Xbox backwards compatibility just means you can play the 360 version on your Xbox one.

 

If you're both playing the 360 verisons, it will work.

 

How can it be done? I have 360 version of Ghosts, my friend has the One version of Ghost, is there a 360 version of Ghost that can run on One?

There is no backward compatible version of CoD: Ghost. Unfortunately you can play in multiplayer only with the same version of console and game.

The game servers are separated for X360 and X1.

 

Your friend would have to purchase the game for the 360, since that is what is backwards compatible, and play that version from his One in order to play with you. The One version is seen as a separate version of the game.

Ghost has been backwards compatible since June.

 

You're right, inserting the Xbox 360 game into 1 console let it download and install in 360 mode, so then we can meet and play together online.
