XBOX360 Live Account Recovery

Dear All,

Here's a frustrating one which I hope there is a simple answer.

We have owned an XBOX360 for 5 years+, but did not really use it, or make any purchases, until recently. In May 2020 this we decided to purchase the game Halo4 and all was well in the Family as we cheerily blew each other apart in the virtual worlds. A
month or so past of joyous bloodletting until, one day on switching on the xbox, we were requested to log in to our Live account (it automatically logged in previously).

Unfortunately, while we know the Gamer Tag, we have no idea what email we used when we initially set up the account. Consequently we do not know the password for this account......terrible account management I know!

We thought we could still enjoy the game by logging in using another live ID, but it would not load without the Live Account it was purchased with.

Attempts to recover the email and password related to the Gamer Tag, with the recent purchase in May as proof (credit card no), using the XBOX Account Recovery Tool were rejected. The response from MS noted that the Gamer Tag is now frozen, with no way
to appeal the decision other than to resubmit the Account Recovery form....tried twice with no success.

Would anyone have any ideas how we could still play the game that we purchased in May and downloaded on our xbox, without the associated live account?

Unfortunately, there is no way of playing the said game without access to the associated XBL account.

If you remember the email to the account, have you tried resetting the password? You should have a linked secondary email or phone number when you signed up for the account (only if you did). It will send a code to the email/phone number in order to reset
the password.

If you accidentally deleted your profile then you can go to Social>Sign In/Out>Download Profile on the console and follow the instructions.
