Xbox360 Games Displayed as "Corrupted"

Hi there,

So here is the issue:

Xbox360 Gears of War Ed.

I have some games that I had downloaded free with xbox live gold, and other games that I have purchased from the xbox web site and some directly from the xbox store inside the console. So my games played fine but a year ago there was an update and I erased
some of my games and downloaded new ones etc everything ok. But this year I tried to download some of those games I had already and they show up as "Corrupted" in the Hard drive menu. So I erased a bunch of games and download some from the xbox web site, or
the xbox store inside console, or my history download. this games will be displayed as corrupted always. If you enter MY GAMES menu from the xbox, they will display the icon, and then they will disappear. You will be like what the heck? and even the game counter
or the corner will go from 45 games to 40 and such.

Anyhow I went to support chat and all of them asked me to erase all games and re-download them which I did and still same issue. Then I used XBOX HDD Format APP from xbox live, and tried that. (Of course I backed up all of my saved games and profiles to
an external drive). The format took around 2 hours, awfully slow, which was good because it was not a "Quick Format". Thus everything just got erased. So at night I placed for download a whole bunch of games. Good and the ones on my "bad list". Anyhow, in
next morning I'm checking the console and again, the same games do not work, and others do work fine. Here is the list of games that will not work:

Armored Core: Veridict day

Tales of Vesperia

Deus EX Human revolution

Gears of War 3

Just Cause 2

Mafia II

Halo Reach

All of license transfer and stuff was made to this console previously as a work around. Still these games will not load. They will display an icon and disappear, or if I move the cursor fast and select it, the screen will turn black
as if the game will load, but then It closes and sends me to the main menu of the xbox. (No error screen displayed) So far customer service says that my xbox needs repair. But If I had downloaded so many games and all of them work fine, (taking out of the
question that Hard Drive is in bad shape), but only those games will not work. (If I'm not missing more). I was told to check on another xbox to download my profile and download the games, which by this time I will assume they will not work. I have a hunch
that tells me after last years update messed up those games and got corrupted from the xbox live server. So tomorrow I'll try that and Update on the issue.

Now the legend of the "Yellow icon of death" will be born. (Corrupted Games from xbox live store)

So guys have you had previously a corrupted game and find a solution to this issue? Thank you!

Downloading Xbox 360 GG when only have Xbox One - has rules/process changed?

@ x24hrslivex - mainly because there are plenty of threads saying you can do it and many people have, that's how I found out. But additionally, they all show up in my xbox360 games as displayed on live and also showe up on the xbox 360 "download queue"
as displayed on live. Currently 6 games awaiting download

Hi there! It's sounding like you might have some corrupted profiles in your system. Please head to your system memory and delete any that are being displayed as corrupted. Then restart the console and try downloading them again. That should help you
out!
