Xbox360 gamer profile hacked?

Can anyone help? Playing Modern Warfare 2 on multiplayer . Thought was in team deathmatch. Appears only one other player on opposing side. He/she allowed me to shoot/kill a couple or so times. After game my game play percentage and prestige had doubled!
Now cannot "create class" or enter multiplayer game before game and xbox(360) freezes. Tried reset , format , different disc and even different xbox360 . Only occurs on MW 2, no other multiplayer game affected?

The Call of Duty games on the Xbox 360 are riddled with hackers, and the developers/publishers are not doing anything about it, as they are more bothered now about the newer games that they support. The only thing you can do is if you find yourself in a
modded lobby again, is to turn off the game and console, wait a few minutes, and turn back on. Then if you want to play multiplayer in these games, start a private lobby and invite friends you trust in the game.

You can also report these gamers if you know the gamertag that was used using the Xbox 360 reporting feature.

as its only happening while playing this game then its likely its just a modded account you have encountered while playing. if you know the gamer profile associated please view profile and report so it can be further investigated.

if you are worried your account has been compromised I would recommend signing into your Microsoft account and changing your password.

if you are having trouble connecting to multiplayer games please check your NAT type is set to open for best results.

if you are playing via backwards compatible on the xbox one you could try clearing your alternate mac address via network settings-advanced settings-alternate mac-clear (it may help)
