Xbox360 download restarts at 79%

I have been having the same issue! I kept trying and just now it finished the download. Keep trying and good luck!

This problem has been happening for a week and no real solution nor proper explanation has been made. I own about 200 360 games and can't access them.I have been a customer for over ten years. This is shameful microsoft

A number of problems and instabilities are happening on Xbox Live recently, and this may be happening because of the increased number of users on the network due to isolation.

I am also having the same issue. I got Crackdown 2 recently because it was free, but the download restarts at ~80% every time I try to download it. I've tried downloading it each day for the past week and it fails every time.

I've tried everything everyone has posted in multiple threads and none of it helps.

This is a widespread issue for Xbox 360 users and no one has a solution.

When I test my connection on my Xbox 360, there is a service alert for service every time. This is the error status report I get.





When I go to the Xbox Live Status page (https://beta.support.xbox.com/xbox-live-status), it says everything is fine which is a complete lie.

This is not an issue that users can fix. This is a server side issue. It has to be. I've seen this same exact problem posted on this forum 10+ times this week and everyone replies with the same "solutions" that don't help.

PLEASE FIX THIS MICROSOFT!

This solution worked! Download the game you are having issues with as a background download with the console turned off. Be sure to enable background downloads in the system settings.

Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to get your download to complete so that you can play it as intended. I can totally see how this could be pretty distressing. What console are you experiencing this problem through?

I ask because depending on whether it's a 360 or an One, the steps would be different.
