xbox360 controller calibration acts like its being overridden

Hey,

so I've got a xbox360 controller and am playing with it on windows 8.1. The controller is wired and connected through a 3.0 usb port (if that matters even). The problem is, the left analog stick "drifts" to the left.

However, it does so in an unusual manner. The problem is not always present. If I restart the computer, there is no problem for about an hour or so. After that, the analog stick starts acting up again. In order to fix this issue, I have tried calibrating the
stick with the calibration software (native to windows). The controller calibrates as it should, and I can play the game "normally" for about 1 min. After that, the stick again starts drifting. If I check the calibration software, it shows that it's calibrated
unevenly (it's pulling to the right).

This makes me wonder, is there a reason or a possibility, that the calibration I do gets somehow overridden once playing the game? That's basically the only thing I can come up with, because the controller starts to work ok. After some time it "decalibrates"
and it starts pulling to the right. I recalibrate it and it works for a brief period of time, and then "decalibrates" once again, by itself as if something overrode the previous calibration I did.

Any help would be appreciated, I've exhausted google and I'm kind of clueless about what to do. I really do not want to buy a new controller because well, this one is about a week old.

How do I make a controller which isn't xbox one, work in the game?

I have a controller which is not xbox one, how do I make it work in the game?

I tried putting a program to make it act as if its a xbox360 controller but I cannot put any file inside the folder because I don't have permission to do so, anyone?

 

Xbox One Controller triggers function weird after 2 minutes of being turned on

I'm using controller with PC, got it some time ago from my friend so I have no opportunity to send it back to MS or to update controller with Xbox.

Device functions perfect first 2 minutes, both RT and LT changes its values from 0 to 255 properly but after time is past triggers set it's initial value at half of 255. So basically in game it acts like half-pressed. They still work and change state from
~120 to 255 but most games recognize trigger as pressed if value =/ 0 so it becomes unplayable. When plugging controller out and back in - triggers works fine 2 more minutes.

Any ideas?

That could be a solution to calibrate gamepad after issue with joy.cpl but XInput ignores joy.cpl calibration (guess calibration uses directinput).[View:http://puu.sh/j3ZBs/daf6e14fff.jpg:550:117]
