    Xbox360 can't log into Xbox Live


    I have Xbox360 and haven't played anything on it since around Jan-Feb 2016 and just took it out of storage to see what I can do with it. I know a lot has changed since then but for some reason I can't log in my Xbox Live through the console even though the internet connection is good and the Xbox live test works good as well. I can still log into my gamertag account on xbox.com using my old email and password but the same doesn't work for the console.

    I guess the answer I'm looking for is if Xbox Live is no longer available through Xbox360 in 2021? I just would like to know one way or other if my console can still connect to games like Destiny, otherwise I'll just use my old console like I used to when I first bought it back in 2011 with no internet connection and play games just on the disc/hard drive.

    Went through the steps to make an app password and that did it. It looks like I'm logged in now. Still find it strange though since I didn't have my account setup with two-step verification until today. Doesn't really matter it looks like it works now. Going to have try some games tonight just to make sure I can actually connect in game.
    I couldn't do it that way, but I deactivated the two-step verification, and I was able to access my account with my original password again.

    I know currently, you're doing what Jesse E' told you to try and I'm wondering if you've read this? Also, I've had a similar problem except I could log in but It was saying I didn't have gold in which case I did. I bought it on the xbox one

    It isn't dead. You should be able to access Live on your console.

    Since you've left the console without using it for so long it appears you'll first need to update it. Updates are no longer available directly for the Xbox 360 so you'll have to perform an offline update. See how to do that here https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-ne...
