xbox360 cant connnect to wireless internet

Thank you for contacting the Xbox Support forums. If possible, try to direct connect/hardwire your console with an ethernet connection to ensure that it can connect to the internet. Once you confirm that the console is able to connect while at least hardwired, try the troubleshooting steps found here: Troubleshoot your Xbox 360 network connection.

Select the drop down error that best suits the error you are receiving. If the issue persists after going through all the listed troubleshooting steps, please respond back to this thread with details regarding the error. Error codes, or further information regarding what you are seeing on your end would be most helpful.

OK I have connected it as follows (a little complicated but its the easiest my setup allows)

Internet----Router A ->))) (((<-Router B ---Xbox

Theres a wireless bridge between the routers.

One router connected to the internet the other is connected to the xbox (by wire)

This setup is working fine. As far as the xbox is concerned its connnected by wire so obviously there is a problem with the xbox wireless network card

Try this...

Enable Cookies

Sign in and a variety of other services require cookies. Perform the following steps to enable cookies in Internet Explorer.



1. Close all browser windows.



2. Click the Start button. On the Start menu, click Control Panel.

Note: If Control Panel is empty, click View all Control Panel Options in the left navigation bar to display icons.



3. If Classic View is selected, click Internet Options.

• On a system running Windows Vista or Windows 7, in Control Panel Home view, click Network and Internet, and then click Internet Options.
  
• On a system running Windows XP, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Internet Options.
  

4. On the Privacy tab in Settings, click Advanced.







5. If the Override automatic cookie handling check box is selected, click the check box to clear it, and then click OK.







6. On the Privacy tab, click Default to lower the setting to Medium, and then click Apply. Note: If you cannot perform this, the option is already set. Proceed to Step 7.







7. On the Privacy tab, click Sites.



8. In Managed websites, determine if any sites listed below are blocked.

• passport.net
• microsoft.com
• live.com
• msn.com
• xbox.com
• gamesforwindows.com
• zone.msn.com
• bing.com

9. If one or more sites are listed, click each site to highlight, and then click Remove.



10. Once the sites have been removed, click OK.



11. Click the General tab in Internet Options.



12. On the General tab in Browsing history, click Delete....







13. On Delete Browsing History select Temporary Internet Files, select Cookies, and then click Delete.







14. Close Internet Options.



15. Start Internet Explorer.

Click on Request A Call and type in a few lines explaining your issue and you will get called back quicker than if you waited in queue on hold.
