Xbox360 black screen!!!

Help! I have an xbox360s with a 250 gb harddrive on it. Every time I try to load any apps or play a game, the screen goes black like it is failing to load. If I press the center button on my controller and exit to the desktop, it freezes as soon as I hit
yes. So far, I have tried cleaning out system cache, uninstalling and reinstalling the latest system update, checking my video settings, and checking all cables and connections. Nothing has worked so far. Any information or assistance is much appreciated.

You can bypass the black screen by logging out of your gamertag then starting the game/app and then log back in to your gamertag when the game/app is loaded.

 

I'm having the same issue.

 

This is a known issue and they are working on it. Hopefully it will be corrected soon.

its stupid ive been playing fine today then went to costum game with friend on blops2 now nothing works even playing offline doesnt work is there any way to fix this?

 

there is are some workarounds that are working for people.

some are having to sign out of their profile, start the game, then sign in. that doesn't work for me.

I needed to turn off auto-sign in. then anytime i want to play a game... power off, disconnect my ethernet, power on, start game, sign in. repeat when switching games.

 

Is anyone having issues playing movies?

 

I just posted a reply to another thread about this same issue. Black screen and screen freezing. I found if you remove the Hard Drive, DVD movies work without the black screen or freezing.

Those fixes are unfortunately temporary. I tried that yesterday, it worked but same problem popped up when I started my XBOX again. When I start my XBOX offline, open an app, or put in a game/DVD then sign online it worked. Just have to turn off the auto-sign
in.

 

Come on xbox please get a grip, or maybe you could try explaining to my six year old why he can't play his new skylanders game ? School hols and *** weather make for unhappy kids anyway and your not helping.
