XBox360 Backwards Games Compatible on XBox One

Our Microsoft account should be able to purchase Xbox 360 backwards compatible games on our Xbox One, especially if they are the enhanced versions. Advising us that we need to log into our Xbox 360 in order to make this purchase and then use it on our Xbox
One is quite frankly silly as (1) we might no longer have an Xbox 360, and (2), the Xbox 360 console is no longer available for purchase brand new. Considering the problems encountered with Xbox 360, most people will be considerably reluctant to go and purchase
a second-hand console just to make these purchases! I understand that the intent is for all Microsoft software for all of the XBoxes will eventually be available as backwards compatible, but does that mean you will have to own each of the consoles in order
to use your Microsoft Account? I currently do not have a credit card, nor do I intent to get one just so I can purchase games. Please would you rectify this situation. Thank you.

No Backwards compatabilty (confirmed)=poor management decision

Ummm ... the Xbox360 wasn't really backwards compatible, neither was the PS3. Sure some games worked once you waited a few months and a patch was released so you could play that particular Xbox game; but let's face it, 90% of the Xbox games did not run on
the Xbox360. So MS have simply said the Xbox One is not backward compatible, rather than making a promise they can't keep; like they did with the 360.

Now if you are a child account trying too download it yes you do need a 360 because of the parental settings.

If you qr an adult account You got two options

Own a 360 and queue the download

Or

Here is the difference

Add a payment option and then download via your xbox one

If it's games with gold you must have a payment options on file it just won't be charged as long as you have gold not home gold

If you do not wish to add a payment option for games with gold titles you cannot queue it without an xbox 360

 

Its just the way microsofts system is setup so that you can not use Microsoft account currency to purchase anything backwards compatible.

you can try and put it as a suggestion in uservoice.xbox.com and Microsoft does look at those suggestions when making changes.
