Xbox360 arcade turn's off randomly.

Hi everyone,

let me tell you the story of this xbox...

a friend of mines had it for years and it worked fine but a fue weeks ago, it was a normal morning for him.he would always turn on the xbox in the morning to play but one morning the xbox would not turn on. he told me the power brick was red and he did not
feel like trying to fix it and decided to get a new xbox. he told me i can have the old one if i can fix it.

so, so far i tried everything that would "fix" it but nothing! unplug everything, re-plug everything and make sure everything was tight in place. try a different outlet. go in a whole different room and try to turn it on there. there was even one that said
to hold the power button for 10 seconds, re-plug everything and hold the power button again for 10 sec but nothing.

the weird thing is that if i first plug in the outlet them the xbox the power brick would be a solid orange, but if i plug in the xbox first then the outlet it would be a solid red. please try to help me i really would like this xbox.

Xbox One won't go on to the dashboard from start up.

Hold the power button on front of the console until it turn's off then try and boot it up and see if that helps

Have you tried a hard reboot? Keep your finger on the consoles power button for about 5-10 seconds until it turn's off.

Seems like your power brick is fried. No matter how many times you plug or unplug it, your xbox console can't be furnished properly with energy and will always turn off.

In your place I would follow the example of your friend and update to the new gen console.

With that said, if you still prefer to keep your 360, you can go to the Xbox Online Service Center to order a replacement power supply.

i would really try to fox this xbox because i cant afford a new one.

I have the same problems. Happened at least 10 times with an xbox360 S. Today for example i turned off xbox360 with a background download and the drive started to spin until i eject the tray. Happened also when i entered in xbox video with last dashboard.
Inserted i have the battlefield 3 disc. It seems to happen randomly. I think an update can solve this. If you have a very big download the drive spin until the end. If you eject the tray the console turn off again.
