Xbox360 after update will not connect to wifi

First of all you need to know that I'm skilled PC/Linux user so I know what I'm doing...

I have turned on my Xbox 360 after about 12 months... It was always connected to the internet through wifi. The console downloaded the update and it now runs on the 17150 version.

Since this *** update I cannot connect it with my PC to see pictures, I cannot connect to the internet with wifi, only ethernet cable works... the funny thing is that I can log in into xbox live and I can use youtube but when I check the connection status
with XboxLive it reports that the console can connect to the network but cannot connect to the internet and xbox live...

Can you belive that? I can connect to internet and login to the xbox live but your *** redmond style testing app says that it is not working... I'm on the cable now, which to me is like moving back to the cave... A year ago I could use the wifi...

I know what you are going to say... it is my router that is reason, right?

but think twice... The console was off for a year, I turned it on and the console being on wifi has downloaded the update... So the wifi was working fine, otherwise it wouldn't be able to download it, right?

Now my wifi is dead, it connects to the router properly but it does not connect to the internet and xbox live.... Why the hell have you made this *** update? To make my life worse? That is the last time I bought anything from microsoft. Now it is 4th hour
of my time troubleshooting, port forwarding, etc... only ethernet cable works and microsoft still sucks.

Problems after an update

After doing an offline update I can no longer connect to any wifi network nor directly to the cable.

Wireless N Networking Adapter support legacy 360?

I want to buy a wifi-n adapter to connect my xbox360 pro (20GB) to my home wifi network.

Could anyone tell me the offical wifi n adapter is work for my legacy 360 machine?

yes, it was an offline update.

if I connect to wifi, then after restarting the console, it again connects to wifi, which I changed a long time ago.

have you tryed connecting your network again to your xbox? and if you have a xbox360s dont get a WiFi adapter for it the adapters are not good with the xbox360S. and try going to xbox.com/networkhelp for more help

1) Is the Xbox360 connected by an Ethernet cable, or is it using WiFi to talk to the router?

It connects to the wifi if i remove my wifi password. But it does not connect to it if i put pass on my wifi.
