XBOX1 Why No Media Centre?

The Xbox1 was hailed as the home media hub of the future, able to quickly snap between movies, games, tv etc, great I thought I have to buy one, and to be perfectly honest I feel a bit let down.

The games are as good as promised and still developing for the next gen so can only get better, some games will let you snap in and out to where you left off seamlessly but some dont (Destiny for instance).

No Sky Go App? I had it on my 360 so why go into the Next Generation without an much used and loved App?

The real thing that has thrown me and perhaps someone could explain is this half **** media player?, Media Centre worked fine, it allowed DLC ir streamed everything I could throw at it, it would rewind and fast forward all my files and allow me to resume
where I left off? it would show me my library properly, how it shoudl be all pretty and organised, this thing is just like a remote mouse, why did you do this to us Microsoft? have we been bad Boys and Girls, did we not tell you how we loved it so, who at
Microsoft looked at this Media Player thingy and thought it a suitable replacement for Media Centre? I'm sure you could have just polished it up, given it a new coat of next gen paint and we would all have been happy.

Please can I have it back or do I need to go back to a 360 or even a PS4 (there I said it, I'm looking elswhere)

Music on Cds

How do u store them on the xbox1 and play ur own stored music with ur games like the 360? or is there no way? And why is my apple ipod not working with the xbox1 it didnt need to be formated on the 360 and works fine on there shows all my music just here
on the xbox1 it show folders with nothing in them i got the media app installed too

 

Media Center PC

Xbox 360 media centre plays live tv from the media center pc. Xbox1?

 

The sky go app is something to do with sky not microsoft, I never used the media centre so not sure how good it was

Also they don't really read the forums and saying your go to playstation won't really bother them lol there is a suggestions forum (forgot the link) maybe try posting in there and hopefully there add it

Like you said things can only get better

i love the media centre faility , download plex onto ur home pc , organise ur files inside plex , now have a look at ur media connection , you can pay for plex premium which is cheap as for a year but you dont have to alo works just as dnla compliant , all
my video files organised .
