Xbox1 keeps turning on by itself.

The power button is capacitive touch so things like static and poor grounding can affect it. Good test would be to change wall outlets.

Also, make sure if the Xbox is synced to any of the app's in the house that it's not being messed with.

Is it possible that someone with a Windows 10 machine or someone with the Smart Glass app is turning it on? I've seen before where roomates and/or family members will turn on / off consoles remotely using this app. Also, make sure that the front panel of
your Xbox is clean and free of smudges. Finally see if this happens in Power Saving mode rather than Instant-On. Power saving mode shuts down the console completely, however if you do use something like Smart Glass to turn on consoles, you will not be able
to do that with power saving enabled.

No kinect and no changes to the power settings, along with nothing listed in them that I would see make the system turn itself on.

This could be due to your power settings or what blazingblade84 said if you have a Kinect it will detect your movements and turn your xbox on hope this helped

Thanks for your reply, I have not had any more issues since moving the hdmi cable further away. so I am guessing that was the problem.
