xbox1 faulting internet and disc

ok so probably been asked before but here goes,

my xbox1, forgets its internet connection at random on start-up, so I try the full power down reset, then startup and reconnect, all good, but then it will refuse to read discs (irritating). Has done this several times and will just randomly come good, this
time no dice. Suggestions?

If the reset doesn't work, It might be due to an actual hardware issue which means it might need to get checked for repair. Since it is not reading discs. Please make sure the Xbox is horizontal not vertical when trying to read discs. I seen that being the
cause due to some people's set up for consoles with stands ect.

Humm that is strange have you tried doing a factory reset but selecting the option to keep your games and apps?? https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-one/console/reset-console-to-factory-defaults

It plays dvds ok also xbox1 discs

Looks like a new console how much to repair out of warranty xbox1

If you own the disc the XBOX1 will download them yet.

You saying put the 360 game in Xbox1? I thought other topic said all 360 games in Xbox1 you get a can't read disc message?
