XBox1 error code 0x801901f4

Hi, based in UK, son has an XBox1. For the last two days, when he tries to play a game, and I sign in for him, we get the error message 0x801901f4. It is connected to the internet, we have switched it off for 10 seconds and on again, but still have the
same issue. None of the solutions I found on the internet seem to fit our problem

Get "Something went wrong" when signing in

I login when prompted, but get "Something went wrong. Please try again later." with error code 0x801901f4. This has been an issue for the past several days, and when searching for the error code it says 'Sorry! No Support articles were found for "0x801901f4".'

Is this a new account for your son? the reason could be that the email associated with that account needs to be verified before it will allow you to play online, another issue could be the NAT being set to strict and you might need to open the ports for
the console take a look at these two link to see if it could be a NAT issue.

make sure you hold the button to turn off as well as unplug the cord for 10 seconds

I fixed this issue by removing the account from the device an re adding it.... suprised this isnt listed under their error codes

I performed a factory reset but choose the option to keep my games and apps and that solved the problem I have

split your thread to help you resolve this issue with not being able to sign back in. We are aware that this is an emerging issue and will be announcing the outage soon. We have gathered as much information as possible and provided it to our engineers. They
will be working on a fix for everyone and hopefully this is taken care of soon.

In the meantime,
I suggest trying to troubleshoot the console operating system by performing a soft factory reset and keeping games and apps. Please

and passwords for your Xbox profiles and have a stable internet connection.
