Xbox1 controller goes unresponsive for a single game

Controller is unresponsive....but only with one game....Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

I've never heard of this happening...

Controller worked fine an hour before the server probs this last weekend.

Can open the game, go to select mission in campaign, selects mission.

The minute you drop in though, the controller is totally unresponsive for actual gameplay. The only buttons that work in-game is the Start button and Xbox button, to exit the game.

Like I said, ive NEVER heard of this. If a controller is unresponsive, it's unresponsive. But to certain games??

I've tried all the usual fixes (controller firmware, unplugging, power cycling, trying a different controller, and even wiped the game and redownloaded).

I'm at my wits end with fixes. Please help....

Well, basically you tried almost everything, I'm thinking another option left to try:

Perform an offline update for your console. In that way Xbox system will be updated/installed from scratch.

For this you need a USB and PC to format it and transfer files provided in the link below (with steps):

If maybe the issue persists, the best option would be share this feedback with both Xbox team and Activision support:

I tried this several times but it only fixes it temporarily. It soon goes back to not turning the controller off when shutting down and then being unable to power on the system with the controller. Kinect is as unresponsive as ever.

Got good connection and I'm still with the same broadband provider that I have downloaded and reinstalled games in the past but for some unknown reason xbox1 just not reinstalling or the free game I got from Microsoft store goes to Xbox1 library for installing
but like others fails.....i know all uninstalled game files goes to the cloud but there definitely seem to be a broken error to reinstall games.

My only complaint is the controls on all 3 games feels very unresponsive.

Updated both controllers, still getting the same issues.. I hit the Xbox button on controller, the menu is completely unresponsive at times, Friends list won't open, none of the options respond to A.. using the DPad still skips over items, digital keyboard still goes to top left.. dumb
