    As the title states, I want to be able to set where the chat is directed to, I dont want it to automatically go into my headset while Im wearing headphones, I just want to use the mic. Please add a feature in settings where you can adjust

    a) the level of chat volume

    b) where you hear the chat volume (ie - hear it in my astros and wear my headset(mic) around my kneck)

    Wearing headphones and Xbox1 headset choose where headset audio plays from

    Wearing headphones and xbox1 headset; determine where the audio from team/squad chat comes from. Why? Because, while wearing both headset and headphones, the headset is not next to ear; therefor I can not hear my squad/team chat. With the 360 I could choose
    weather the audio came from headset or headphones OR BOTH! So on the next update, xbox 1 needs to allow me to determine where my squad/team chat plays from.

    Controlller headset voice chat not working

    Hey Cookie,

    I am also having a chat headset issue. I got my Xbox One on April 18th.

    I get no sound from the earphone in-game or when I playback a voice message before I send it.

    I've gone through all the steps that are suggested by the support and the headset works, thanks to the Skype test. It recorded my voice and played it back through the earphone.

    If I start a party, my icon lights up when I talk.

    But with the headset plugged in whilst in-game online, none of the other players voices comes from the headphone. If I disconnect the headset, thier voices come through the T.V.

    I've got no idea what is going on, so any help from anywhere would be great. Thanx.

    Tritton headphones wont work

    The Xbox1's optical port has to be turned on in settings. If I remember correctly, I haven't tried because my headphones are connected to TVs optical port, but now that Xbox1 multitasks very well I will use netflix on Xbox1 and connect my soundbar back to
    the TVs optical port, and headphones to Xbox1s optical since I only use when gaming. Hope this helps

    Audio Outputs !!!!

    As Burnin said there is an optical sound output. Plus I think turtle beach ( and I am sure the other headphone makers ) have already confirmed adapters to allow the 360 headsets to work on the One.

    As for wires , well there are some great wireless headsets out for the 360 that have wireless voice too .. I myself use a fantastic set of wireless turtle beach headphones that use bluetooth for wireless voice that also pairs with my phone at the same time
    so I can answer calls while I game too.

    Headphones

    There are a few work a rounds you can do.

    1) There are mic and headphone connectors for 360 from 3rd party developers that plug into controller and let you connect a standard PC headset to a 360 controller

    2) you could simply ignore the mic and plug headphones into the TV then put the 360 headset over them and set it to play voice back through speakers then you get the voice chat through the headphones and the headset over the top to talk into and talk to
    people.

    3) The final one is a mix of both and I'm not sure if it even works, you connect your headset with the mic bit in the controller and the headphone audio into the TV headphone socket then change the 360 settings to play voice chat etc through the speakers
    which as you have the headphone plugged in should put the sound through the headphone to you.
