    Xbox, you have lost a customer.


    I have had an Xbox original, Xbox one, and Xbox 360...But I have to say the Xbox one has to be the biggest piece of garbage I have ever bought. Care me to run through the list of problems I have had in the course of just a year?!? Well for starters, the
    Xbox home button doesn't work and you have to press it multiple times to get it to register. Tired to get it replaced but support just told me that they have my money and laughed in my face. Next my PSU (Power Supply Unit) recently started making a loud buzzing/humming
    noise. Also the console is making a loud buzzing noise as if the fan is tapping against something else in the console. And no, this is not a normal sounds, as it is so loud it wakes me up at night if my console is on. Also, the console doesn't read game disks
    all the time, and on few occasions says the disk is unreadable. Then to top it all off, the coil whine issue is STILL THERE! After the October update. And now support is telling me to send my Xbox console off, paying 15 dollars for shipping and wait God knows
    how long to get my console back. And, no one from MS have even acknowledge any of the 25+ forum posts I have made. So MS, I am giving you one more shot before I switch to PS4, can I please get some answers!!!

    Well hardware wise it is pretty official as it can get... The xbox one can't do backwards compatibility ... when they announced the ps4 they said it couldn't BUT could through gaikai which they bought in 2011 I believe which will allow them to do so through
    the cloud. The xbox hardware simply cant do backwards compatibility and would also need to do it through the cloud if it wanted to

    Maybe do what support suggested to you! If support suggested it then they acknowledged you. I am sorry that you are having bad luck! I had A LOT of bad luck with the 360 myself... But I just fought through it.

    As an owner of 13 Xbox 360s (which had way more frequent and worse issues then coil whine). I find it very difficult to have sympathy for some one with a single bad Xbox One and refuses to do what support suggests.

    Just a few points of observation here as well.

    You don't want to spend $15 on shipping but will spend 400+ on a PS4. I know the saying is "Cutting off your nose to spite your face" but in this case its "cutting off your face to spite the nose" And i also get the suggestion that you think the PS4 is
    with out its issues as well. Go read their forums for a day like i do...

  6. LOL AMEN Ghostly! I've had 16 Xbox 360's myself! This guy said MS didn't acknowledge him but really they did! Support suggested he send in his console. That sounds like acknowledgement to me.

    Support will always acknowledge you. A lot of people were experiencing issues with their consoles. Sending them back and getting a new one was usually the best option. If you have a warranty you should be able to bring it to the store you bought it from
    and just get a new one. That's what I did. Or send it out to Microsoft. That's your only options Krazy Crayon. Sorry brother but we can't help you any further. Your home button problem is probably because of your controller.

    No I meant acknowledging me on the forums, not a single support person has commented on any of my posts. So whats the point of having a forum in the first place. And besides, they suggested I send in my console for 4 weeks! For their issue then they want
    me to pay when the garbage device is under warranty. And yes I will spend 400 bucks on a PS4 because I have heard no complaints from friends who have them, meanwhile I have a year old xbox giving me more problems then my xbox 360 and that thing is 7 years
    old. Face it fanboys, as a once fan of MS, Xbox one is built poorly.

    I keep telling you man. We work with customer support. We are ambassadors. We probably know more then support believe it or not hahaha. But go bring it to the store you got it from. Whether its gamestop. wal mart, best buy. Wherever you got it from and give
    them the receipt stating that its broke and you either want your money back or you want a new Xbox. Works all the time with me.

    Krazy Crayon, I understand your frustration. But may i point out another thing here. The PS4 does indeed suffer from hardware issues for some just like the xbox one, If you want proof for your self. Visit their forums too. Taking friends experiences should
    be taken with a grain of salt. and research to form your own opinion should always be done before a purchase. Just because your friends have no issues doesn't mean there are not the possibility of them. Just like Just because I have no issues with my Xbox
    One, this doesn't make the fact you have issues invalid.

    With that said, If you refuse to send your Xbox One in for service like suggested there is nothing we can do for you, In fact forum support staff the best they can do is File a bug report which will not solve your immediate problem or recommend you start
    warranty process via telephone, chat or website.

    Unless he was planning on getting a PS4 as well which is, not a bad idea. Many users own both Major consoles each gen, my self included. Then i doubt he is really going to spend $400 to spite MS on the $15 fee. I think he was just blowing off steam because
    of frustration which is understandable.

    No you guys aren't fallowing what I am saying, there have been several issues with my console. Its 2014, when I buy a 500 dollar console I expect it to work for a least a year or two. Also the reason I don't wanna go through the process of getting it replaced
    is because I just pre ordered sunset overdrive and also pre ordered halo and call of duty, and would like a system to play those games on when they come out, otherwise whats the use of pre ordering in the first place.

    I've currently got a PS4 and have an Xbox One coming tomorrow. In the three months I have had my PS4, it sat there for four weeks unused. The reason... the garbage DS4 controllers. First I had an R2 failure, and it was with Sony two weeks being replaced.
    A month later, the replacement (with the cr*p new thumbsticks) had a left stick failure, so it was back to Sony for another 12 days. Straight out of the box, the latest replacement has triggers that I just know are going to fail, which will mean another two
    weeks without being able to use my £350 console.

    I still have my launch day 360 premium, and it still works perfectly. It did RROD twice in that time, but was fixed with no problems. I bought an Elite simply because it had HDMI, and that has been 100% fault free, and still works perfectly after 5 years
    or so. So since launch day, I've had just two 360s, and they both still work. For me, Microsoft have been pretty reliable on the whole. My original Xbox only had one failure as well, and I still have the free hat and DVD zip-case they sent me with the repaired
    console.

    I think sometimes, you just have to bite the bullet and say "This sucks, but I need to get this repaired" and you live without it for two weeks. But after two weeks, you will know that you should be able to play those shiny new games, and not have to worry
    for a while about things going wrong.
