Xbox xelect command not working in Netflix or Hulu after update.

These two apps seem to have lost some voice commands. I noticed it yesterday, maybe the day before. I have tried saying the command that normally would appear and no luck. At first I thought it was a way to force Cortana on us, (which I don't want to use.
I was plenty happy with the Xbox commands) but youtube and amazon video still have the old select commands. I have tried hard restarting with no change. Please help. Thanks.

My Netflix voice commands seems to not be working. There was a ticket submitted previously, and it seems to still not be fixed after a year. When I say "Xbox Select", it doesn't prompt me to say the next command, such as "Profile 1", or "Select 3". I've
been having this issue for awhile now, and I understand it's an issue on Netflix's part, but it still hasn't been fixed? It was cool to not have to use my remote to control my Netflix, or Hulu even. In saying this what further action should I take?

I have also tried to uninstall and reinstall. Still no "xbox select" function.

 

UWP apps (which replaced our dedicated XBOX APP) doesn't work with XBOX SELECT commands. There are several posts floating around the forums:

No moderator cares to confirm this but all new UWP are removing all support for voice commands. Pandora and Groove music are next.

XBOX is no longer becoming a media center and all of those gestures and voice support that was shown to us years ago is being taken out. All the functionality I paid for is being removed. The moderators here are suggesting that we go to the "New Ideas"
site to vote on bringing back an existing feature that they removed. I think that is a crap suggestion.

I have Cortana disabled. I don't want to use Cortana. I have pretty much figured out that this isn't a technical issue but more of features being removed, which is crap. I have a kinect so I don't need the controller to watch Netflix.

Pretty sure Player468950433 is right judging by all of the other forums about it... And yeah there are a couple people that have started vote topics in regards to this. Seems like most people don't know about them though because they have very little support.
I'm not sure if it will actually change anything but search the voting ideas section and vote. I did.

 

Agreed!! This is getting old. I'm a Quadriplegic with no hand movement so I depend on the voice commands to gain access to Netflix. Without it I can't watch my movies!
