    XBOX X shuts down after a few seconds when booting from controller


    Greetings,

    I just set up a new XBOX X, and I find that it shuts down about 10 seconds after being booted using the controller. This happens 100% of the time. At this point, the controller will no longer boot the XBOX. I have to turn on the unit using the power button
    on the unit. Then it works fine until the next time I start the device. Anyone have experience with this, and how to correct it?

    I tried new HDMI 2.0 cables, and different ports on the TV, but that made no difference.

    If you just bought it, it should still be under warranty for return.

    October's update made my console garbage

    Same here... When you turn on the xbox one x (didnt check if it happens with xbox one s) from the controller, about 5 seconds after that it looses sync to it and wont re-sync until you shut down the controller and turn it on again, tried it on 3 different
    consoles with 6 different controllers, all that happened after the last update

    also check this link, since it also shuts down unexpectedly:
    https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/console/console-turns-off-unexpectedly    To see if you can fix the issue, if that doesn't fix the issue then I'm afraid the only options left will be having it repaired, steps are mentioned on the support
    pages.

    Try a reboot on the console

    1. Press and hold for 30 seconds the xbox button on the console it should turn off auto

    2. Wait after shuts down to turn it on after a few second with the controller button

    It should the issue.

    Same story here. Setup fine from my had from Xbox one s , then updated itself fine , 4 laps of Forza 7 and it froze - now just the Xbox light comes on with no display. SwPped cables , swapped TV , nothing works. 4 laps. 4 laps.
    Does your X also remain powered on (Xbox logo lighting) only for a few seconds? It beeps on start and then when shutting down, after very few seconds.
