    Xbox X frame drop


    Hello everyone

    Recently bought a second-hand Xbox Series X and I have an LG 65QNED80t6a. The TV has 60Hz, ALLM and gaming mode.

    It turns out that during heavy fights in Division 2 i feel a huge drop in frames. Is this normal on the console because the TV lacks gaming features like VRR?

    Two years ago I had another Xbox X with a 120Hz Hisense and the difference is huge and I have never felt any drops at any time.

    Hello Marco, thanks for reaching out for support on the Xbox forum. I'm sorry that you're experiencing this frame drop. I understand how distracting that can be.

    It's likely because your TV doesn't support VRR or it does support it, but you're not using an HDMI 2.1 cable.

    VRR helps keep gameplay smooth during heavy scenes. Without it, you might notice stuttering or frame drops. The console is fine, but the TV/HDMI can affect how smooth the game feels.

    typically a problem like that would occur during cloud gaming, which I'm assuming you're not using, or poor online connectivity

    I have a great deal of time in the game, and you have to remember that in any online multiplayer game it's not just your connection but everyone else is as well

    as the game has recently joined game pass it's experiencing a huge influx of players

    When I saw EuroGamer's Digital Foundry performance tests of this game a few weeks ago, I was pretty shocked by the frame rate issues. The base Xbox One version was only 900P and suffered frame rate drops as low as 21fps! Come on! How on earth is that even
    playable??

    The One X version was a great resolution wise, but those frame drops were still pretty bad, and what about those loading times?
