Xbox X connection issues with headset/controller daily

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

Before proceeding with repair we may need to reset the console first keeping games and apps to check if there will be an improvement. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps.

Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry to hear about the issue with connecting the headset to the Xbox One X controller.

I recommend taking a look at the following troubleshooting articles:

• Try connecting the Xbox to the Wall instead of an extension cord or surge protector.

I don't believe it has anything to do with the 4K..

It might be an actual issue with that particular Xbox one X controller where the headset connects into the

3.5 mm jack. If possible, you might want to try another Xbox one X controller (if you have one or if you can borrow one) and

connect the headset to that one

to see if it works.. that'll tell you whether or not the issue is actually with the controller.. and since it's an Xbox one X, it'll

definitely still be under the 1 year manufacturer warranty for you to be able to replace the controller.

I have the same issue. It's okay when watching NETFLIX with a headset connected but Amazon Prime Video turns off the controller. It's very irritating.

Connecting a USB cable is unacceptable. The controller is supposed to be wireless. I'm not using a blooming charging cable because then the controller won't be wireless. Not sure if it makes a difference but I'm using rechargable batteries and the headset
adaptor and Xbox One X

Unfortunately, there is no built-in mic on the Xbox Series X and no bluetooth support if you're thinking to go that route.



You will need to attach a headset with a mic to the Xbox Series X controller. The Xbox Series X controller uses a standard 2.5mm audio connection for Xbox Live, you can use any standard headset. (It does not have to be something fancy or expensive.)
