XBOX X and Steam gaming ?

Chaps and Chapesses....

I was thinking of getting a new PC for Steam Gaming purposes, but a friend suggested the Xbox X instead...!

1.How feasible is using the Xbox X to access the steam gaming site.. ( ie Elite Dangerous)

2. Do usb controller peripherals work for games. ( ie saitek Rhino 55 Thrust controller and Joystick.

3. If the above is possible, do I need an ‘Xbox Gaming pass?’

Hi Loony, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

Most games that are on PC/Steam are also available on Xbox console, and I have checked the game that you have mentioned, I was able to confirm that it's available. Though there are also games that are exclusive on PC or another platform if you have a specific game in mind it would be best to check it first.

In regards to your second question, peripherals work for games or the console as long as it is a compatible version both for the console and the game which means that you may need to check the compatibility first to ensure that it will work.

For the last one, getting an Xbox Game Pass will depend on you but if you will play online multiplayer games Xbox Live Gold is required.

There are some important things that you need to know about console gaming.

Xbox Live Gold subscription is a subscription that allows us to play an online multiplayer game. For free-to-play games, this is not required.

Xbox Game Pass for Console is a subscription that will give you access to hundreds of games on the library without buying the actual game.

Keep in mind compatibility requires the stick manufacturer to follow standards xbox sets

Xac is little different and had there own standards but has a bigger list you might wanna ask your manufacturer if they can make a driver for xac

Forgive me, but it’s been many years since I delved into Xbox ( ex 360)

“XAC” ? Xbox adaptive controller?

Have been looking for a list of supported devices no sign of X-55 Rhino yet.

1 review seemed to hint the usbs only allowed 5 switching actions per usb port?

Not nearly enough for X-55
